We start gathering at 6:30 PM, the meeting starts at 7:00 PM and lasts until... you're ready to go home. We cover event announcements and planning, discuss helpful repair ideas, share interesting stories, show off our Fieros and more.

Hornet Tour

GoKarts of Burlingame, CA
February 17, 2008
SuperTrack Information: Sunday 5pm-8pm the Yokohama and Monza Tracks are combined to create our SuperTrack. This course has over 20 left and right turns, 2 chicanes, and an elevation change. The length is almost 3/8 of a mile with average lap times of 1 minute. This is the largest indoor track in the United States!

Second Annual Delta Run and Rio Vista Ryde Loop

Central Valley Fiero Owners Group (CVFOG) is again hosting and has just now scheduled this years Rio Vista Ryde Loop. Saturday March 29 will be the 2nd annual Delta run - Rio Vista Ryde Loop. We will meet at the fruit stand by the Rio Vista Bridge at 12:00 and leave at 12:45. We won't be eating until 3:00 so eat before or bring a snack. At 2:00 we have a walking tour of Locke and that includes the Chinese Museum which costs $2 followed by a Chinese Buffet for $9.00. We have reserved the entire restaurant capacity 60 people. Boulder Creek Run and BBQ

Meet at the GeyerŐs home at 9:45 am. Caravan will leave at 10:00 and drive as a group through the back roads of the Santa Cruz Mountains, arriving at CanepaŐs Race Car Collection around 11:00. We are fortunate enough to get a guided tour through the collection to hear interesting facts and stories about the extensive collection of cars. Bruce Canepa has given us permission for us to take as many photos as we wish to take. There are no barriers or ropes protecting the race vehicles, please respect their openness and do not touch the vehicles. After our tour, we will drive through the Bonny Dune Mountains and arrive at RenoŐs miniature Fiero Ranch for a fantastic BBQ. Please bring a potluck of your choice to share.

Niles Canyon Railroad Trip

CVFOG is inviting Golden Gate Fieros and all other Fiero owners to join them again for another Fiero adventure on Sunday April 27 for a beautiful train ride though Niles Canyon. GGF will meet up with CVFOG on Mission Blvd at the Sullivan overpass at about 2:00 then drive up Niles canyon to the Niles canyon train station in Sunol to board the Niles canyon train for an excursion ride at 3:00. The cost of the train ride is $10. Please let Robert Reed know in advance if you plan to attend. rob.rd@sbcglobal.net
Castle Air Museum

When the closure of Castle Air Force Base was announced in 1994, a group of dedicated enthusiasts in the Atwater-Merced area formed a non-profit organization called the Castle Air Museum Foundation, Inc. Their purpose was to assume custody of the collection of military aircraft. It was their dream to build a museum in which faithfully restored historic aircraft could be exhibited for public enjoyment. http://www.castleairmuseum.org CVFOG is meeting in Ceres on Hatch Rd and plan on leaving at 2:00 and arriving Castle Air Museum (CAM) at 3:00. Infineon Classic Car Races and Potluck

ItŐs that time againÉLetŐs go to the races at Infineon Raceway (formerly Sears Point) near Sonoma. We previously have been at turn 3 of the Rob Brown Terrace. Tickets are $35.00 which includes a program and a visit to the food and wine tent. $20.00 for ages 13-21 and Free for ages 0-12. This has been a fun event for the past 5 years with many beautiful vintage cars on and off the track.

Annual Fiero WestFest Car Show
June 27 - 29, 2008
WestFest, the largest annual Fiero Car show in the west will be held in Solvang, CA this year. We have scheduled WestFest to start on June 27th at the Best Western Pea Soup Anderson's Inn where we will collect reservations and have a reception party. We may visit Jack's Museum of Gasoline Pumps, memories, and signs housed in Buellton, CA. (www.oilstick.com) Tickets to visit are $10.00 per person. If we get a large enough group interested we will leave around 8pm Friday evening for a private viewing of all the memorabilia and race cars. This place just a few blocks away and is definitely outstanding! Saturday the 28th, is the day of the car show and evening banquet that evening at the Pea Soup Andersons.

Hollister Street Festival and Car Show

Hollister's 22nd Annual Street Festival & Car Show. Bring the whole family to celebrate the classics...classic cars and classic tunes. New this year is a Hot Rod Cook off BBQ, so arrive early and bring your appetite. Early bird sign up fees of $25.00 are in effect through July 20th and include a free event T-shirt featuring last years Best of Show. Trophies available: Street/Stock, Custom/Modified, Vintage/Classic, Best of Show and additional prizes for Club Participation Award (Golden Gate Fieros won in 2007), Distance Award and Oldest Car. 14th Annual Pacific Grove Concours Auto Rally

The colorful 14th Annual Pacific Grove Concours Auto Rally, which has raised over ninety thousand dollars for non-profit organizations on the Monterey Peninsula. The 2008 Auto Rally will be held on Friday, August 15th, 2008. This year we are featuring BMW as our marque. We hope you plan on being included. There is a limit of 200 cars, so register early if you are interested.

6th Annual Coast Run
October 24-26, 2008
The California Coast run is a donŐt miss event every year for the Fiero enthusiasts. ItŐs a great excuse to get together with others who enjoy driving the beautiful Highway 1 from San Simeon to the Monterey area and back through beautiful Big Sur. This is a charity event and therefore does have a raffle. There is also a dinner on Saturday night after the run.

Annual Golden Gate Holiday Party

This has become a holiday tradition for GGF Members. Join us for a delicious potluck dinner and an exciting an interesting gift exchange ($20 max this year). This is always a lot of fun and a great way to end the year.
